- Description:
- The external collaborator will provide legal and technical expertise to support the drafting andcompilation of a consolidated Balochistan Labour Code. The assignment includes reviewing andmapping existing provincial labour laws, rules, and regulations; identifying gaps, inconsistencies, andnon-compliance with international labour standards; and drafting harmonized legal provisions alignedwith Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and labour-related commitments under the NationalAction Plan on Business and Human Rights. The consultant will integrate Business and Human Rightsprinciples into the Labour Code, provide technical inputs to stakeholder consultations led by theDepartment of Labour through an implementing partner, and revise and finalize the draft based onconsultation outcomes and project feedback. The work will be carried out in close coordination withthe ILO Business and Human Rights Project, the Department of Labour, Government of Balochistan,the Ministry of Human Rights, and UNDP.Complexity of assignment (as per IGDS 695
