Description:
Background: The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)'s Reforms and Innovation in Government for High Performance project (the "Project") supports federal and provincial governments in advancing key reform initiatives. These reforms focus on performance management, evidence-based policy planning, and strengthening governance and institutional capacity within the public sector. The Project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), UNDP's Strategic Plan signature solution on governance, and Output 1.1 of the UNDP Country Programme Document: fostering open, agile, accountable, and future-ready governance institutions that co-create and deliver solutions for transparent, equitable service delivery and accelerated SDG achievement. Under its components dedicated to institutional strengthening and evidence-based policymaking, the Project is driving systemic reforms to revitalize core governance institutions and streamline the role of the state. To sustain this momentum, the Project receives ongoing support from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) through its National Governance Programme (NGP).
