Description:
The objective is to assist IFC in conducting Field Testing in Vietnam, Pakistan, and SouthAfrica, which are among the largest markets for IFC-s trade and SCF investmentand advisory. A small sampling of certifications and buyers- frameworks,selected by IFC, will be field tested. Validation will focus on MRV(measurement-reporting-verification), audit protocol, quantitative climateoutcomes, and development impact effectiveness (i.e., jobs, MSMEs, export,access to finance). Field assessment will also consider ease of implementation,including financing needs, of such certifications and frameworks by lead-firmbuyers, banks, suppliers, including MSMEs (i.e., tier 2 and 3 suppliers) andsmallholders. The exercise will be anchored on how IFC can more effectivelyutilize robust certifications to boost impact for our clients and stakeholderson the ground as we expand our climate trade and SCF business with privatesector partners.
