Description:
Tenders are invited for Initial Selection Construction of Civil Works Designed by the Engineer & Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Electrical & Mech. Works of Chitral Hydroelectric Power Station and Providing Services during Defects Liability Period The scope of work includes replacement and construction/installation of Civil works and E&M equipment including but not limited to the following works: Scope of E&M Works • Partly demolishing of old structures/equipment of powerhouse, forebay, penstock, 11 kV switchyard, settling basin, intake and headrace channel • Construction of weir intake and appertaining structures • Construction / refurbishment of headrace channel, settling basin, forebay • Construction of new powerhouse including tailrace and 11 kV or above switchyard / substation • Supply and installation of new penstock and other hydromechanic equipment • Testing and commissioning of all civil and hydromechanic structures and equipment • Design, supply, - installation, testing and commissioning of 5 MW E&M equipment • Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 11 kV or above transmission line. The works will be designed by the Employer except the E&M Equipment; the contract will be based on unit costs, the volumes will be ad-measured according to actual works. Civil Works Scope: The scope of civil works includes demolition of major existing civil structures of the project components including existing intake structure, approach culvert, access roads, headrace canal/culvert, settling basin, forebay, powerhouse, penstocks, etc. and construction / partly refurbishment of a completely new waterway structure, powerhouse including control building, switchyard and allied structures. The new constructed / refurbished water conveyance system includes a free overflow weir along with gated intake and underslucie, 594 m long approach culvert, a settling basin followed by 3,101 m long headrace culvert/Channel which terminates at the forebay. Thereafter twin penstock pipes of 1.7 m diameter and 70 m length connect to the two turbines.
