- Expression of Interest are invited for Multi-Purpose Household Survey on Flood Reconstruction in Pakistan Description: The multi-purpose household survey (MPHS) will assess the targeting and distributional impacts of all flood rehabilitation and reconstruction spending in rural areas which were the most impacted. It will also assess potential durable welfare impacts of the flood, such as child malnutrition and learning losses, as well as long term impacts on agricultural productivity and livelihoods. Outcomes for poor and vulnerable households will be of specific interest. The sample for the first round of the MPHS will survey close to 35,000 households across 1,000 villages. The sample of villages will be provided to the firm by the World Bank team based on analysis done to assess flood extent using satellite imagery. The sample will be larger in Sindh and KP given the pattern of the 2022 flood. The survey instruments will include a male, female, and adolescent questionnaire at the household level and a detailed village and facility questionnaire. The survey will also include modules on i) Cognitive tests for young children (1-4 years of age); ii) Anthropometric tests for all children (0-5 years of age); and survey-based games on household decision making.
