- Expression of Interest are invited for Technical Assistance for Punjab Irrigation Modernization. The World Bank is assisting the provincial government of Punjab for the preparation of the Improving Water Management and Irrigation Systems in Punjab (IWMISP) Project. The project will notably finance the modernization of selected branch canal systems. The modernization program would enhance the reliability of flow deliveries through improved flow measurement and control at all bifurcations in the system. The consultancy will (i) review and analyze current practices, infrastructures and systems for flow monitoring and control; (ii) interact with groups of water users (mainly farmers) on their water / irrigation requirements and the potential improvements of the water delivery service; (iii) divulgate to PID examples and best practices related to canal system modernization; (iv) advise the World Bank team with regard to the dialogue with Government of Punjab related to the design of the overall modernization approach to be implemented under IWMISP. The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
